Artist Rachel Bradley born in Pennsylvania. ”Departing from a background of traditional b/w photography, I abandoned the camera and darkroom as my primary artistic medium in 2006 in favor of a different approach. Using found objects, assemblage and handcraft, Hellboxes series have emerged. Hellboxes are containers for my obsessions: for salvage in a throw-away society, for telling stories and preserving memory and personal history with the objects that define our lives. On the street, at work, day in and day out, I collect objects: small, shiny things, discarded lists, lost toys, colorful wrappers, dead leaves.
