ROLLS TOHOKU is basically the best collection of images to surface from Tohoku, the area of Japan that has been damaged by the tsunami. The concept of the ROLLS project is simple: give people in these areas disposable cameras, have them shoot over the course of a few days, show the unedited results online. In taking a photo of something tragic there’s always the possibility of just turning it into an easily consumable aesthetic object. That’s not at all the case here though, it is pleasant to see something real. What’s really excellent about this project is that it tells you if the photographer is an adult or child, and also where they are currently living. I was particularly struck by photos taken by a few different children around Watanoha Elementary School, near Ishinomaki.

摄影师石头自制影集《拿波》第十三辑“陌生的日常生活”。在石头的照片里，你可以找到潜伏日常生活之中的暗礁，有些荒诞，有些开心，有些无奈。而对于石头来说，这十三期杂志亦是一段人生旅程的见证。（一至十二期《拿波》请去石头的博客下方取链接。）

医生和亲朋都说，忘却是对经历一场疾病最好的补药。然而事实似乎并非如此，重病过后，总有那么些人物、突发又重复的事件和蒙尘的物件，某一天突然出现，让我联想到过去的那些无聊的，却无法撕碎的日子。

 

在生病养病的一年里，我好像更习惯沉默，默默打量着别人——他们之中与众不同的个体和身体的局部特征。我发现，他们与我面对时流露出相似的东西。我说不清道不明，但我确实感受到了。暧昧的东西必须在心里放下，唯有如此。你才可以举目，重新眺望看远处的风景。所以，在上海和宁波看病期间，我充实少时的爱好——绘画、继续近几年在玩的摄影，画和底边做成好几本册子、装了几个袋子。。

 

我这样并非想标榜自己，更没有艺术方面的野心。用健康去换得荣誉，代价太大。只是想法和事实证明，画画和摄影让我不闷，让我有所可为，兴奋了精神。就像前些天，我的主治医生大夫S医生说得那样：“小子，你熬过来了，哈哈！”“熬”字用得精确，也让人心痛。

 

前两天，我整理书柜，找出1999年买得让·菲利普－图森写的《浴室 先生 照相机》。随手一翻，看到《先生》里这页这行若干年前的我，用红笔划出的一行文字：“当达到不动心境界的时候，先生的脑海中不再有任何思想涌动，他的脑海就是世界——这是他召之即来的世界。”我反复地诵读这句话，反复它们出自我首来自我心。

 

正是在这样的拘束不安中，我开始编辑新一期的《拿波》。

 

美好的回忆，尖锐的现实，美丽的遭遇，丑陋的表白……

Detour是一个致力于推广全球创意艺术的Moleskine笔记本巡展项目，它以巡回展览的形式在世界各个主要城市展出众多国际知名艺术家、设计师、建筑师、插画家及作家等专业人士的作品。

这个富有创意的巡展已先后在伦敦（2006），纽约（2007），巴黎（2008春），柏林（2008秋），伊斯坦布尔（2009春）和东京（2009秋）以及威尼斯（2010年8月的威尼斯双年展）等地展出，并将于2010年10月移师中国上海。  共有24位来自中国本土不同领域的国际知名艺术家支持Detour巡回展上海站，在Moleskine笔记本上进行各式艺术创作。上海站还会展出另外26个其他国际级艺术家的作品。中国参展者包括：电影导演贾樟柯及张元、时装设计师李文洋、摄影师王小慧、作家韩寒、设计师陈幼坚、音乐人MC仁和艺术家欧宁等等。

Kila Cheung： “《the Facebook》尝试用现代风格呈现中国传统文化‘相面术’。它记录57人的面部照片和他们的背景，并分析他们的面部特征。我试着加入一些书内的新的视觉元素，并使用了一些现代的抽象图形概念来诠释中国的‘相面术’。我希望这本书可以展现出这个有趣中国传统文化，让更多年轻人和其他文化背景的人了解它。”

Kila Cheung是一位香港年轻的设计师、插画师，毕业于香港理工大学。

Kila Cheung says, “the facebook” try to use modern style to present the traditional chinese culture “physiognomic”. It records 57 people’s facial photos and their background, and analyze their facial charcter by “physiognomic”. I try to input some new visual elements inside the book,  and use some mordern graphic to present the abstract conception of “physiognomic”. I hope that {the facebook} can present this interesting chinese traditional culture to the young and people from other culture.

Kila Cheung is a young graphic designer and illustrator. She graduated from the hong kong polytechnic university.

绝对伏特加一直以新颖独特的包装设计和限量版产品，赢得时尚和设计界的广泛赞誉。今年，绝对伏特加携手艺术家高瑀首次推出专为中国定制的绝对伏特加中国限量版“72变” (Absolut 72 Bian), 并邀中国时尚摄影领军人物陈曼创作了一系列前卫的平面作品。“72变” 将于8月正式在中国限量发售。绝对伏特加旨在通过 “绝对72变” 限量版的推出，向求新求变中的国人表达：凡人虽都做不了孙大圣，但若熊猫扮得，你也扮得，我也扮得，即便不能神通如他，起码也可及之万一。 让我们来看下高瑀如何来描述创作灵感： “孙大圣是陪伴我们成长起来的传统中国人物形象，它天马行空，大胆、创新的特质，激发了一代人对自我潜能的憧憬和幻想，而“72变”的能耐正是这种创新特质 的绝佳表现。在这款限量版的设计里，我让熊猫扮起了孙大圣，既体现了中国限量版所包含的传统中国元素，也契合了绝对伏特加求新求变的品牌理念。”

而陈曼的作品也延续了一贯绚丽的风格，用一位模特变化出多种不同的造型，充分表达了“变化”主题： “希望这组广告片能为观者带来一种全新的从视觉到味觉的“通感”体验。希望能突显绝对伏特加中国限量版所营造的多变的鸡尾酒口味，以及其现代、大胆、创新的品牌精神。”

Swedish vodka brand, ABSOLUT, has a long history of creative collaborations with artists all over the world. It’s worked with Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Helmut Newton, Damien Hirst, Louise Bourgeois, David Shrigley, Douglas Gordon, Sylvie Fleury, Dan Wolgers, Hung Tung-Lu, and hundreds of other designers and photographers throughout the years. Continuing this tradition, ABSOLUT is launching its first ever limited edition bottle in China – exclusively designed by Chinese artists for the local Chinese creative community. ABSOLUT collaborated with artist Gao Yu (高瑀) to create a China-only redesign of brand’s iconic bottle titled “72 Transformations” (72变). ABSOLUT also worked with leading-edge Chinese photographer Chen Man (陈曼) to produce a series of avant-garde photographs to compliment Gao Yu’s bottle re-design and extend the brand’s “Transformations” campaign theme.

Why “72 Transformations”?

The Monkey King (Sun Wukong, 孙悟空), an important figure in traditional Chinese folklore, has the ability to transform himself 72 different ways as he overcomes obstacles on his pilgrimage to achieve enlightenment. It’s this ability that inspired Gao Yu as he thought through how to re-design the ABSOLUT bottle and express the brand’s “transformation” campaign theme.
