在最近十年间，哪些摄影书可以入选Martin Parr的TOP 30？答案已经在PhotoIreland Festival揭晓，同时，这30本Parr的心头好也正在爱尔兰国家摄影档案馆展出，将持续到月底（7月31日），伴随展览，还推出了500本限量版catalogue。书中包含了Martin Parr的评论，作者笔记，还有很多未公开的创作意图和过程等等。

PhotoIreland Festival announces Martin Parr’s selection of the 30 most influential photobooks of the last decade. The selection, on show at the National Photographic Archive of Ireland until the 31st of July, is featured in the exhibition catalogue, limited to an edition of 500. The catalogue includes Martin Parr’s comments on each book, together with illustrations and ‘Author’s notes’. These are mostly unpublished texts by the photographers, publishers and curators of the works – personal statements on the process and raison d’être of each book.

法国摄影师Fabien Seguin，现居中国。这个老外自己动手做的《黑龙江》摄影集吸引了我的目光，看看他是怎么说的：“2009年的夏天，我基本待在哈尔滨和大庆，用一台135相机拍照。起初，这些照片不过是我的个人随记。不过，就在一个多月前，我觉得我得用它们来做些什么，比如说整理一下，做本书。于是我在武汉尝试着使用惠普Indigo印刷机做了这本38页，21张照片的书，同时，我也学会了InDesign。”

“I shot this series in summer 2009 mainly in Harbin and Daqing on 35mm film. These pictures were just really notes for myself in the beginning. Then, one month ago, I thought I could do something with these pictures, organize them in a book form, and I did this mostly as a test to try the only printer using Hp Indigo technology in Wuhan and to start learning how to use InDesign.” - Fabien Seguin

Born in 1980 in the French Alps, Fabien Seguin is a fine art photographer currently based in China. The book is soft cover, perfect bound, 38 pages, 21 images.

每到年底，很多艺术家或者是摄影网站都会列上一份长长的Top10 Photobooks List。今年，由Alec Soth率先带头，在博客中放出了他心目中的Top10 Photobooks List，值得细细研究。上面的这些照片出自摄影师Jason Fulford的新书《The Mushroom Collector》，排在这张list的第一位，Alec Soth真心推荐，这是一本关于蘑菇、旧照片和新照片的小书。

Recently, Alec Soth post his “Top10 Photobooks List” of 2010 on his blog. Photobook 《The Mushroom Collector》by Jason Fulford got the top1 award. As photographer Jason Fulford recently learned firsthand, mushrooms have a way of growing and spreading wherever they touch ground. It all started when a friend of Fulford’s gave him a box, bought at a flea market, full of photos of mushrooms-modest snaps taken by an unknown but almost certainly amateur photographer, apparently as notes for mycological studies. These mushroom images stuck in Fulford’s mind, and started to grow in his own work. The Mushroom Collector combines some of the original flea-market mushroom pictures with his own images and text by the artist about the project.

Kila Cheung： “《the Facebook》尝试用现代风格呈现中国传统文化‘相面术’。它记录57人的面部照片和他们的背景，并分析他们的面部特征。我试着加入一些书内的新的视觉元素，并使用了一些现代的抽象图形概念来诠释中国的‘相面术’。我希望这本书可以展现出这个有趣中国传统文化，让更多年轻人和其他文化背景的人了解它。”

Kila Cheung是一位香港年轻的设计师、插画师，毕业于香港理工大学。

Kila Cheung says, “the facebook” try to use modern style to present the traditional chinese culture “physiognomic”. It records 57 people’s facial photos and their background, and analyze their facial charcter by “physiognomic”. I try to input some new visual elements inside the book,  and use some mordern graphic to present the abstract conception of “physiognomic”. I hope that {the facebook} can present this interesting chinese traditional culture to the young and people from other culture.

Kila Cheung is a young graphic designer and illustrator. She graduated from the hong kong polytechnic university.
